U.S. Diesel Fuel Prices Continue Month Long Rise

Average U.S. diesel prices rose another 1.2 cents this week, continuing month long increases so far in July. After 4 consecutive weeks of increases, diesel prices are up 10 cents in all regions of the United States.

The national average price is currently $3.915 per gallon, still at its highest since mid-April. The average is 3.1 percent higher than it was a year ago in 2012. The Rocky Mountain region saw the largest increase, up 4.7 cents (to $3.913), while the lower Atlantic and Gulf were the smallest (up 0.4 cents to $3.861 and $3.845 respectively).
