Ports of NY-NJ Release Updated Importer Security Filing (ISF) Enforcement Strategy

Posted on: Aug 25, 2014 U.S. Customs in conjunction with the Ports of NY-NJ released an update regarding the enforcement of the Importer Security Filing regulation that went into affect July 2013. Specifically, the update addresses how liquidated damages can be assessed with failure to report the requirements. CBP may also withhold the release or transfer of cargo until the ISF reporting requirements are met as well.
