Customer Support Specialist – Import Process:

 

We are searching for a full-time Helpdesk Support Specialist to join our Customer Support Team!

 

Applicants must have knowledge/experience in NVO/Freight Forwarder operations and U.S. Customs compliance. Vilden customer support specialists need to have the knowledge base and experience to respond to customer inquiries concerning the Import process.

 

This role will handle customer support activities, primarily via email through our support desk software, but potentially over the phone support may be required.

Job Location: Signal Hill, California

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming customer service inquiries via support desk software.

  • Record and update customer support tickets/records.

  • Participate in training.

  • Identify and escalate serious issues to technical team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Attributes/Skills Required:

  • Appx. 3-5 years' experience with an NVOCC/freight forwarder. 
    Professional and polite customer service and communication skills. Ability to be to work cohesively and aid the rest of the support team.

  • Proficient with operating systems with the ability to learn, basic computer skills, email, and other Microsoft Office programs.

  • Strong aptitude for using a computer, documenting information quickly and basic technology in general.

  • Does not wilt under the stress/pressure of deadlines, problems, and changes.

Web Developer/Designer:

 
We are searching for a full-time Web Developer/Designer to join our Software Development Team!


Applicants must have experience in UX/UI principals. We need a  team member with the ability to support and interact with clients to troubleshoot and resolve client requests, maintain existing software and motivated to build custom web interfaces using best practices and web standards.

 

Job Location: Mobile, Alabama

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Code web designs using HTML, CSS, JS, Node.js, PHP, Python

  • Use CMS approach for design and template automation, WordPress a plus.

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap

  • Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex roadblocks.

  • UX/UI experience a plus

  • Create website wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas for desktop and mobile.

  • Debug issues with web pages and software applications

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to development to final hand-off

  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and web standards

  • Evolve and uphold brand and design guidelines for web and public-facing product pages

 

Attributes/Skills Required:

  • 2-4 years’ proven experience as a web developer/designer

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping a big plus

  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

  • Network Support a plus

  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Equivalent Certifications

  • Experience with “IBM I” a plus
