Global Logistics System (GLS)

Vilden’s Global Logistics System (GLS) is a software application designed to assist container fleet operators improve the management of the equipment fleet, which may include containers, chassis and MG sets.  The application can be used for global tracking and management as well as for local or regional inventory management.  This application is Internet enabled for low cost and ease of deployment, and minimal cost of operation.

The system contains a central database of all the equipment in the fleet and all the moves that can possibly be recorded for each piece of equipment.  The quality of the information is enhanced by user defined tables that force standardization of key data, such as codes for size and type, location (depots), controlling offices, regions, carriers, customers, vessel/voyages, and much more. This discipline and structure make data retrieval and reporting much more meaningful and informative.  The database thus becomes a data warehouse that can be mined for Business Intelligence with On Line Analytical Processing tools to produce invaluable insights of the operation. such as:
